The Department of Music and Theatre presents the premiere of The Hanging Of Pinocchio, a new musical work composed by Music and Theatre faculty member David Dvorin. Inspired by the original telling of Carlos Collodi’s 19th century masterpiece of children’s fiction, the work is a rumination on the perplexity of boyhood behavior and societal expectations. Joining David on guitar and electronics will be a top-notch ensemble of instrumental soloists from around Northern California, including Matej Seda (violin), Randy McKean (clarinets), and Clifford Childers (trombone/bass trumpet/harmonica).
